Birmingham Pop/Rock band bringing back the 50’s
Maxwell Avenue are a British Pop/Rock band consisting of Ben Woodward, Tom Wilkinson, Jake McCarthy Mansbridge and Samuel Warrington. The band formed back in 2017 at the University of Derby where Lead Vocalist ‘Ben Woodward’ created an advertisement seeking punk/rock musicians.
The band performed their 1 year anniversary at the O2 Academy Birmingham, representing Birmingham in the sold out Soundwaves Music Competition regional final. The band battled their way to the national final at the O2 Institute Birmingham where they became runners up. Their sounds is a fusion of 2000’s Punk Rock mixed with a sprinkle of 50’s Rock and Roll.
The band consists of 4 members, On Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar – Ben Woodward, On Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals – Jake McCarthy Mansbridge, On Lead Guitar and Vocals – Tom Wilkinson and finally on the Drums – Sam Warrington.
Maxwell Avenue are currently in the process of recording their upcoming album ‘Happily Never After’ which is to be released Summer 2019.
