A versatile performer covering a wide range of artists
Rich is entirely self taught and mainly switches between acoustic and electric guitars, although he has occasionally played mandolin, banjo, piano, bass, percussion and 12 string during certain songs. Rich is based near Lichfield but has travelled all over the UK on a regular basis, from Aberystwyth to Mablethorpe and Eastbourne up to Edinburgh along with shows in Spain, Greece, Germany and Ireland in recent years.
Rich has his own solo cabaret style show but also operates the pioneering Bottle of Britpop 90s show, the FIRST solo tribute of its kind in the UK est. 2009. He also prides himself on his last minute versatility, helping out assorted acts and agents far and wide at late notice, stepping in as Jon Bon Jovi with the Always Bon Jovi show, guitarist in Vogue Madonna for 3 years, and the Vertigo band Shrewsbury. Rich also fronts popular covers trio VIPerlounge, a band he formed in 2009.
Performing either acoustically or to track, Rich is a long standing member of the Musicians Union, has all relevant and valid public liability cover, PAT testing and is fully self contained with sound system and lighting perfect for any venue or setting.
Rich can handle any event from pub singalongs, restaurants and nights on the social club circuit through to private parties, weddings and corporate launches (recent events for 02). Some of Rich’s regular clients have asked him for repeat work for a near decade.
Aside from music, Rich works as a teaching assistant at a SEN school in Birmingham and lives in Armitage with partner Lisa and their young family. In his spare time, he enjoys retro gaming, kayaking, football, bodyboarding, and collects retro football shirts! He also presented a Monday night show on Stafford FM from 2013 to 2016, which he now hosts from his shed as the Manshed Man.
