Introducing DJ Cable

3x UK DJ Champion (placing 3rd in the world in 2010)

With numerous other DJ titles under his belt, DJ Cable’s ability as a turntablist and a selector make him a cut above the rest, bringing a breath of fresh air to radio and the UK club circuit.

Having been a part of Mistajam’s “Sixty Minutes” lineup on BBC 1Xtra for over 2 years, and also a regular feature on A Dot, Nick Bright, Charlie Sloth & DJ Target’s shows, he has worked with some of the biggest names in UK Urban music, bringing his signature mix of Hip Hop & Open Format DJing to the nation every fortnight on a Monday evening. Previous mixes including sets with Big Narstie, Section Boyz, P Money, Novelist & The Square, UK Garage specials, and classic Hip Hop specials have remained station favourites over the past year.

Be it corporate gigs for Harrods, Orange, Selfridges, MTV, NFL, Nike, New Era, or Beats By Dre, his residency at Niketown in London, hipster parties for Vice Magazine, Boiler Room sets, London spots such as Libertine & The Wellington, Hip Hop parties such as “Livin Proof”, or even the grimiest of underground warehouse parties, Cable’s much sought-after skills and versatility as a DJ proves he is a cut above the rest; so much so, that on many an occasion he has become the ‘go to guy’ for a number of artists when it comes to live shows, having worked alongside the likes of Nas, YG, Skepta, The Weeknd, Snoop Dogg, House Of Pain, Tyga, P Money, JME, Skepta, Krept & Konan, Section Boyz, Grandmaster Flash & more.

As a producer, he has worked with the likes of Mez, Shystie and Ghostly, and remixed the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Flowdan, Big Narstie & Fatman Scoop, notching up releases on Island, Four40, US label Slit Jockey, Speakerbox, AV8 Records, and his own label Triangulum, which is putting out some of the most exciting new Electronic music around. His track “One Line Flows” with Mez became a staple tune in DJs’ sets over the summer, with SBTV supporting the music video, and Mistajam making it “Inbox Fresh” on 1Xtra. His recent release “In Ere” featuring West London MC Ghostly picked up major support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Rinse FM, Radar Radio & Mode FM, with tastemakers Logan Sama, Sir Spyro, Spooky, Mistajam and DJ Target regularly playing the track.
